1.1 LL provides the Website to facilitate the Purpose.

1.2 LL provides the Website for its clients and customers in relation to the Purpose, and undertakes such activities based on lawful contracts between LL and such clients and customers.

1.3 Note that LL disclaims any and all responsibility in relation to any Information, other than as specifically accepted here, or in LL’s Terms of Use. You should read this Policy carefully to ensure that you are aware of the manner and purpose for which LL collects such Information from you, and the manner in which LL stores, processes, and uses such Information.

1.4 If you do not consent to the use of your Information by LL in the manner described in this Policy, or do not consent to the sharing of such Information with third parties in the manner described in Section 4 of this Policy, please:

1.5 Your proceeding with the use of this Website, and/ or your providing any Information to LL on or through the use of this Website or through any other means, is based upon the assumption that you are providing such information to LL voluntarily and/ or under the terms of a lawful contract, and the subsequent provisions of this Policy are based upon such an assumption.

1.6 LL is committed to protecting the privacy and Information provided by individuals to enable LL to complete the Purpose. This Policy sets out the nature and type of Information LL collects, the Purpose of such collection and usage, disclosure of such Information, and LL’s security practices and procedures in relation thereto.

1.7 This Policy has been drafted in accordance with the provisions of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Rules thereunder, including the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.

2. Use and Acceptance

2.1 You may access this Website for preliminary browsing without availing LL’s services or products. In such an event, and/ or in the event you access this Website in relation to LL’s services or products, or in relation to any Purpose, you confirm that you have read, understand, and agree with this Privacy Policy each time you access the Website.

3. Nature/Type of Information Gathered, Purpose, and Duration of Storage

3.1 LL gathers/ obtains Information about you, for the Purpose, if you choose to provide the same voluntarily by reading, understanding and consenting to the terms of this Policy and/ or the terms of a lawful contract. LL only collects Information that is necessary for the Purpose.

3.2 Specifically, you may be requested to provide certain Information in the event (i) you decide to proceed with the use of this Website, or (ii) if you choose to share any Information with LL through any other means, in relation to the type of Purpose described to you in relation to such Information.

3.3 By consenting to provide any Information to LL in relation to the Purpose, you are also consenting to the sharing of your Information with third parties for the Purpose, as described below. 

3.4 LL may also disclose Information in connection with (i) the sale, assignment, or other transfer of its business, (ii) in order to respond to requests of government or law enforcement agencies, or (iii) where this is required by applicable laws, court orders, or government regulations, with prior intimation to you, to the extent that such intimation is legally permissible. LL does not sell Information to any third parties. Also, LL will not transfer the Information you provide to any third parties for their own direct marketing use. 3.5 Duration of storage: LL stores Information for such duration as may be required to fulfil the Purpose. Such duration may vary by the type of Purpose contemplated in relation to such Information. By providing any Information to LL, you agree to LL’s storing such Information for the duration necessary to fulfil such Purpose. Note also that LL shall store Information beyond the duration required for the Purpose in the event it is mandated or obliged to do so under any applicable law.

3.6 Please use your discretion when providing any Information to LL, and under any circumstances, do not provide Information to LL, unless you thereby consent to LL’s use of that Information for its legitimate business purposes and consent to the transfer and storage of such Information to and in LL’s databases. If you have any questions about whether the provision of Information to LL is, or may be, necessary or appropriate for particular purposes, please contact LL’s Grievance Officer at the coordinates provided in Section 10 of this Policy.

4. Disclosure/Sharing of Information

4.1 To enable LL to provide services in relation to the Purpose, the Information provided by you may be shared by LL either with its own employees, officers, agents, and directors, other corporate entities and affiliates, or unaffiliated third-party service providers (both in India and outside India) working on LL’s behalf to provide the service in relation to the Purpose, on a ‘need-to-know’ basis, and subject to strict obligations of confidentiality. Specifically, LL may share the Information listed in the first column in the table below with the persons or entities in the corresponding row in the second column, for the reasons or purpose enumerated in the corresponding row in the third column:

4.2 Exceptions to Consent Limitations and this Policy, and Disclosure of Information: LL may disclose Information if required to do so by law or upon the advice of its professional advisors, such as legal counsel, that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to respond to: 

4.3 In case of an amalgamation, merger, acquisition or business transfer, LL will transfer all your Information to the acquirer.

4.4 As a user of this Website, you understand and agree that you assume all responsibility and risk for your use of the Website, the Internet generally, and the documents you post or access and for your conduct on and off the Website.

5. Security Practices and Procedure

5.1 LL has enabled appropriate security procedures to secure the Information obtained, stored, processed, and used by LL during the course of its business, and has obtained an SSL certification for its website.

5.2 LL has reasonable security policies and procedures in place to protect Information from unauthorised loss, misuse, alteration, or destruction. Despite LL’s best efforts, however, security cannot be absolutely guaranteed against all threats. To the best of our ability, access to your Information is limited to those who have a need to know. Those individuals who have access to the Information are required to maintain the confidentiality of such Information.

6. Updating and Deleting Information

6.1 To ensure that the Information you provide is complete, accurate and up-to-date, LL allows you to change or correct your Information at any time. For any change/correction of Information you can make a request by contacting LL’s Grievance Officer at the coordinates set out in Section 10 of this Policy, and LL shall make all reasonable and practical efforts to comply with your request, so long as it is consistent with applicable law and professional standards.

6.2 You may also request that all Information provided by you be deleted. You may do so by sending such a request to LL’s Grievance Officer at the coordinates set out in Section 10 of this Policy, in which event, if legally permissible, we will remove all copies of your Information from our records.
